Sr. Marketing Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. Marketing Analyst role will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications and will play a key role at Great Jobs KC. This role will be responsible for assisting the department focused on data-driven marketing decisions, which includes a Senior Communications Manager, Digital Designer, Project Manager, and Marketing Assistant in new and ongoing marcomms initiatives.

Reports to:  Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications

Location: Kansas City, MO, Hybrid (technology provided)

Status:  Exempt, Full-time

Salary:  Annual salary based on experience

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Analyze competitive research and marketing trends (monthly) with at least 90% accuracy.
  • Increase the average time spent on the website by 20% and decrease the bounce rate by 15% in one year.
  • Increase the number of social media followers by 15% and the average engagement rate by 10% over the year.
  • Increase the click-through rate (CTR) of Google Ads by 10% and achieve a 5% increase in sign-ups within the yearr
  • Achieve a 15% increase in open rates and a 10% improvement in CTR for email and SMS campaigns within the year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sr. Marketing Analyst role will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications and will play a key role at Great Jobs KC. This role will be responsible for assisting the department focused on data-driven marketing decisions, which includes a Senior Communications Manager, Digital Designer, Project Manager, and Marketing Assistant in new and ongoing marcomms initiatives.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Data Collection and Management:
  • Gather data from various sources, including website analytics, social media platforms, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and market research reports.
  • Manage and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and implement data collection processes and best practices.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Perform data analysis using statistical methods and data visualization tools.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data.
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for marketing strategy and campaign optimization.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Create clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate data insights to stakeholders, including marketing managers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to share data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Campaign Optimization and Testing:
  • Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing and other optimization strategies.
  • Track and measure the impact of data-driven decisions on marketing performance.
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis:
  • Stay up to date on the latest marketing trends and technologies.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and target audiences.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven marketing strategies based on market insights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, marketing, business analytics, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, the candidate can have 8 plus years of applicable and proven experience in the specific field of Marketing Analytics.

Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years of Marketing analytics experience.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Site Improve, A/B testing etc..).

Physical requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
    • Ability to work in an office and remote environment.
    • Ability to travel from and to work and occasionally to regional sites as the organization grows.
