Unlocking their Futures: We are Proud to Announce 778 New Scholarship Awardees in Kansas City!

$38.9 Million Invested in Kansas City’s Workforce and Education Future

Great Jobs KC is excited to announce our newest cohort of Scholars in the KC Scholars 11th-Grade College Scholarship Program, one of the most impactful college scholarship opportunities in Kansas City. This year, 778 local high school juniors have been selected to pursue a degree at one of our 26 KC Scholars College Network schools, bringing us 778 steps closer to a more equitable Kansas City.

Announced May 5th, our newest cohort are now beginning their journey, accepting their $50,000 scholarship and connecting with a dedicated, one-on-one Scholar Advocate who will help guide their goals, explore career pathways, and provide access to scholar support resources that assist them in ways beyond tuition. This support system is what sets KC Scholars apart from traditional scholarship programs.

One Metro. One Community. One Movement.

Our scholars come from across the greater Kansas City metro area, united by a shared drive to build better futures. As KC Scholars approaches our 10th anniversary, the impact of our community investment is undeniable; this cohort alone represents over $38 million invested in Kansas City’s future workforce.
